The short version
Al-Shi'ra ("the game", "we", "us") is a free team shooter played as an Activity inside Discord. We use the smallest amount of information needed to let you play under your Discord name. We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not build profiles about you.
What we use

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party marketing tools.
Why we use it
- To provide the game you asked to play, including sign-in, matchmaking and showing your name.
- To keep matches fair and the service safe, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
- To honour purchases you make through Discord, if and when they are available.
What others can see
Other players in your match can see your Discord display name, your in-game character and cosmetics, and your score. If you're in the all-time top ranks, your display name, rank title and totals appear on the leaderboard in the game and in our Discord server. Your Discord user ID is never shown. Everything else stays between you, Discord and our server.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in sessions live only in our server's memory and expire after two hours. They are not written to disk.
- Match data exists only while the match is running and is not stored afterwards, except the leaderboard totals below.
- Leaderboard stats are kept on our server for as long as the leaderboard runs, so your rank carries over between matches. Ask us and we'll delete your entry.
- Information used to limit abuse, such as the number of sign-in attempts from an address, is held in memory for about a minute.
- Settings and progress on your device stay in your browser until you clear its site data.
- Our hosting provider may keep standard network records under its own policies.
Who we share it with
- Discord, which runs the Activity platform, sign-in and any purchases. Discord's own Privacy Policy applies to your Discord account.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers the game lives on.
- Other players, as described above.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
We never sell or rent your information.
Purchases
Any optional cosmetic purchases are handled entirely by Discord. We never see your card or payment details. We only receive confirmation of which items your account owns, so the game can show them to you. Cosmetics never affect gameplay.
Our Discord server
In the official Al-Shi'ra Discord server, our bot can give you roles you choose yourself (like your path or ping preferences) when you press a button. It uses your Discord user ID only to add or remove that role, and does not store it. Messages you post there are governed by Discord's policies.
Children
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country to use Discord and the game. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has used the game against these rules, contact us and we will help.
Your choices and rights
- You can stop at any time by closing the Activity. You can remove the game's access in Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps.
- You can clear saved settings by clearing your browser's site data for the game.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your information. Because we keep so little, there is usually nothing stored about you beyond your current session, but just ask and we will check and help.
Security
Connections to the game are encrypted. Secrets that let our server talk to Discord are kept only on the server and never sent to your device. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold to a minimum so there is very little to protect.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and announce bigger changes in our Discord server.
