Welcome
These terms are the agreement between you and the Al-Shi'ra team ("we", "us") for playing Al-Shi'ra, the Discord Activity, and for using this website and the official Al-Shi'ra Discord server (together, "the service"). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can play
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country and have a Discord account in good standing. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
Discord's rules apply too
Al-Shi'ra runs on Discord, so Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply whenever you play or chat. Al-Shi'ra is an independent game and is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Discord.
Play fair, be kind
Please don't:
- cheat, use hacks, aimbots, exploits or modified clients, or deliberately abuse bugs;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or try to break into the game, its servers or other players' accounts;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone, or use hateful or sexual names;
- share anyone's personal information, including your own, in names or chat;
- sell, trade or share accounts, or offer cheats or "boosting" services.
If you find a bug, tell us in the Discord server's bug-reports channel. Reporting it honestly is always welcome.
Cosmetics and purchases
- The game is free. Every soldier fights with the same gear; cosmetics only change how things look.
- Some cosmetics may be offered for purchase through Discord. When they are, Discord processes the payment, and Discord's terms and refund rules apply.
- A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that cosmetic in the game. It has no cash value and can't be sold or traded.
- Free rewards, such as season-track items, may change between seasons.
- If we ever have to stop offering the game, we'll give notice in our Discord server first where we reasonably can.
Our content
The game, its world, art, music, characters and code belong to us or our licensors. You may play, stream and post videos and screenshots of the game, including monetized videos, as long as you don't suggest they're official. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute the game itself.
Your content
Your display name and anything you post in our Discord server stay yours. By posting screenshots or suggestions in our community spaces, you let us show them inside the game's community (for example, featuring your screenshot in an update post with credit). You can ask us to take a featured post down at any time.
Availability and changes
We're always working on the game. Features, maps, items and balance may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable for updates or maintenance. We try to announce bigger changes in our Discord server.
Suspension and ending
You can stop playing at any time. We may limit, suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts other players or the service at risk. Where it's fair and safe to, we'll explain why.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We can't promise it will always be error-free, secure or uninterrupted.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, progress or profits. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for cosmetics in the twelve months before the claim, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game grows. We'll change the effective date above and announce significant changes in our Discord server. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
